Information about UnityUnity Healthcare has 9 different health centers across the district in addition to clinics co-located with various homeless shelters in the area and services at the Department of Corrections. They see all patients regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. Established Unity patients can typically get a follow up appointment within one week of an ED visit or hospital discharge, but the information below can be used to set up appointments for both new and established patients. You may also email [email protected] (protected email server) Speaking with a ProviderOn-call provider numbers: 202-698-0437 This number can be used to speak to an on-call provider or leave a message regarding specific follow up information for patients (i.e. reason for follow up, timeframe to follow up in, etc). The ED visit summary (aka, your complete powernote) is automatically faxed to Unity Clinics and scanned into their records for their PMD to view. Cerner automatically faxes the summary after the note had been signed by the attending. Unity Healthcare also staffs the Infirmary at the DC Jail. You can call 202-425-3814 to speak with a provier.
Bread for the City provides a variety of services to DC residents who are living with low income, including:
Health Care "Dr. Randi" Bread for the city has primary care, dental, vision, and behavioral health clinics that serve patients regardless of their ability to pay. For new appointments: 202-386-7020 Bread for the City Clinic 1525 7th Street NW Washington, DC 20001 Food DC residents who have incomes at 200% or less of the federal poverty line are eligible for monthly food supplementation from bread from the city.
